hong leong technology park shenzhen is in the universiade shenzhen-hong kong international science & education hub in longgang district, 2 km away from the universiade transportation hub. it is close to the international university campuses, universiade center, and the universiade park. this tech park offers an abundance of transportation options and amenities, and boasts a pleasant environment. it is a joint venture project between cdl and chanfu, with the goal of serving as a global operation, service and investment platform for the science and technological innovation industry.
the park provides mainly industrial r&d spaces, combined with themed retail and residential apartments. it is currently home to nearly 300 companies and organisations, and contributed over rmb 8 billion in economic output value in 2021. the park has a strong focus on promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. it has established the shenzhen eastern college students entrepreneurship center and has organized several municipal innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. in 2021, it was recognised as a "national small- and micro-enterprise entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration base". currently, phase 2 and 3 development is in full swing. by 2023, nearly 200,000 square metres of industrial r&d spaces, comprising single-block headquarter base, medium-sized powerful enterprise accelerators, and small- and micro-enterprise incubators, will be completed.
